Anime Weekend Atlanta (AWA) is a three-day Japanese Animation and comics convention held annually in Atlanta, Georgia.
AWA will be held September 17 - 19 2010, at the Renaissance Waverly Hotel and Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta, Georgia.
Since 1995, AWA has become one of the most popular Japanese Animation conventions in the United States.
AWA has a wide variety of events including video room showings of Japanese cartoons from new releases and titles going back to the 1960's, a dealer's room with retailers who sell Japanese animation and manga related merchandise such as toys, videos, audio CDs and artwork, workshops, panel discussions on various topics including the current trends in Japan and how they will affect the United States, a costume contest where attendees dress up as their favorite anime or manga character, and scores of guests who have worked or currently are working in the industry.

The deadline for program book advertising is 10 August.
If you are pre-registering using the mail-in form, the last day you can use and mail the form is August 15, 2010.
The last day for online pre-registration (single and group memberships) is September 1, 2010.
The Dealer Room Booths for this year's AWA are sold out. We are no longer accepting applications for booths.
You can now reserve a table for SuperHappyFunSell, AWA's Thursday Evening swap meet. It will be held September 16, 2010, 7pm-10pm in the Grand Ballroom at the Renaissance Waverly Hotel (a bigger room than before).

AWA will have a final Staff Meeting before the convention Sunday, August 15, 2010 at the Renaissance Waverly Hotel in The Chambers Room. The meeting starts at 2:00PM for directors, 3:00PM for general staff. If you would like to be on staff for AWA come to the meeting. For more information on staffing at AWA, go here.
