Photoshoot Schedule

Announcing the official Cosplay Photo Shoot schedule! Photo shoots will be held on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. There are six locations for the shoots:


  1. Renaissance Waverly: Atrium (inside near the elevators away from the registration desk)

  2. Renaissance Waverly: Entrance (grassy area across from the valet/near flagpoles)

  3. Cobb Galleria: Outdoor stairs (next to the sky bridge)

  4. Cobb Galleria: Inside stairs next to Williams ballroom (opposite the escalator)

  5. Cobb Galleria: Entrance near Jocks and Jills (the long sidewalk to the left as you walk out of the Galleria)

  6. Cobb Galleria: Outside the old movie theater (Off the hallway between the Galleria and the Waverly)


Unfortunately, Anime Weekend Atlanta can't officially schedule photo shoots for the amphitheater or fountains in the park. This area isn't being rented by AWA, and we don't have any control over it. Use this area at your own risk. AWA can't guarantee that you won't be asked to leave by the office park's security staff and/or billed for any cleanup fees.


To have your photo shoot added to the schedule, please email your request to You'll need to include three preferred time slots and locations. Also please include the time length of your photo shoot. The request must also include the name and email address of the person managing the photo shoot. If there's a conflict in the schedule, I'll contact the shoot manager directly. If you'd also like to include the name of the person or group taking your photos, I can add that as well.


Spots will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Please check the schedule link to review open slots before submitting your request. The times are setup on the half hour, but if you want to set a time on the quarter hour, include that in your request.

Do we have to schedule a private photoshoot as well?

Private photo shoots do not have to be scheduled; however, please use the schedule to determine when and where you might have the best chance of taking your photos. 

Will a photographer be provided or will the group need to find one?

Photographers will not be provided. So, I would recommend finding one before the show.
