The
Video Art Track |
More than just the home for anime music videos, the Video Art Track is the single largest event for fans and editors of amateur music videos, fan parodies and amazing and astounding original video art. For over a decade, the Video Art track has promoted the remix culture and participatory fandom by supporting the creation and exhibition of fan works of art in video media.
We are digging through an archive of your favorite submissions spanning over a decade looking for editors of days of yore, and will be inviting them to submit new works in the first ever Music Video Invitationals. We're proud to announce the return of The Masters, our bi-annual contest for editors willing to send us the best of their very best work to compete for a single prize, the coveted Green Jacket. This year we are stepping things up a notch in the Professional Awards, requiring every entry to be a new video that will screen for the very first time during our event at Anime Weekend Atlanta. And we're always happy to present the Music Video Exposition, not a contest but a no-holds-barred exhibition with recognition for as many exemplary submissions as time permits.
But there is more this year. Through special arrangement with Anime Weekend Atlanta, we will be hosting a one-of-a-kind Editors-only event† on Thursday evening, a chance for those who create and submit videos to The Video Art Track and Anime Weekend Atlanta to meet and mingle and share the joys and frustrations of creation. Die-hard fans of anime music videos and video art will have a chance to attend this gathering and meet the editors who make events like ours possible through their hard work and contributions.
Once the editors have had their fun, they will be throwing the doors open to all the attendees* of Anime Weekend Atlanta who arrive Thursday evening for a party before the official opening of the convention, so book your tickets a day early if you can.
* admittance is limited to paid attendees who pick up their badge in advance, and by room capacity
† editors-only event will require pre-registration and purchase of a premium Editor's Membership, details to be announced
